We can’t wait to welcome you back to London on Sunday 13th February to run 10K past some of London’s most iconic landmarks. London really is one of our favourite cities, and we can’t wait for you to experience it with us.
With the festive season upon us, the city has come alive and is truly beautiful with its festive cheer. London is the perfect place to be during December to have fun with friends, family, find hidden gems and build lovely memories, with surprises around every street corner.
We’ve put together our top things to do in London this winter, where to stay, and places to eat around the city so you can get the full snow-tastic experience…
- Hyde Park Winter Wonderland
Located in one of the famous parks in the heart of London, Winter Wonderland is a must-do with friends and family. For 6 weeks (from November 19th to January 3rd), you can experience a wide variety of fun fair shows and rides, entertainment, food, drinks, and so much more.
- Go Ice Skating
Have a giggle and glide your way around at either the stunning Natural History Museum or Somerset House, with beautiful Christmas decorations and festive music.
- Go to a Christmas Market
If you’re looking for a Christmas market, you’ve got plenty of choice. Head to Leicester Square, Southbank, Kingston, or experience Christmas under the canopy at King’s Cross. There is lots to see at all of them, and you’ll be captivated by the sights, sounds, and smells of the market, with tempting seasonal treats and delightful Christmas gifts.
- Mulled wine at Borough Market
Close to Tower Bridge and the Thames, Borough Market is fun to visit any time of the year and a must-do if you visit London. However in Winter, it really comes alive with the food and warming mulled wine making a trip here even more special.
- See the Christmas Lights
The Christmas lights transform London’s Streets, adding that extra bit of winter magic. Starting from Oxford Street, passing Soho and leading to Covent Garden, you won’t want to miss these.
- Covent Garden
From 15th November, a new Covent Garden Christmas Village is opening its doors with a snowy traditional winter town, including a frozen forest, and featuring eight luxury bauble-themed dining domes, a perfect spot to take some winter snaps. There are shows round the clock every day, so you can see magicians, musicians, and more!
- Visit London’s Cool Museums
London has some of the best museums in the world. And do you know what? Most of them are free!
Choose from the National Gallery, British Museum, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Tate Modern, and more!
- Run along the iconic roads of London
Training for Cancer Research UK London Winter Run? London provides magnificent opportunities for putting those running shoes on and enjoying the city at a slightly breathless pace. - Hampstead Heath
From November 26th to January 9th, you can enjoy Christmas at Kenwood with a spectacular trail of artistic lights set up at Kenwood House. Have fun with all the activities offered, walk around the market, or delight yourself with some drinks and amazing food.
- Take a Husky Sleigh Ride
Want to feel like you’re in Lapland? A fun adventure, the Husky sleigh ride at the Wetland Centre is one of the best activities to enjoy in London during winter. From little ones to adults, everyone with an elevated Christmas spirit can enjoy the ride.
