Cancer is relentess. But so are we.

Please support my 10k London Winter Run for Cancer Research

I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2025.

I lost my dear friend Carole K-P to cancer in June 2021 after a battle of 5 years ago. Carole and I had met on my first day at Liverpool University, shared a house, and remained good friends over the years, seeing each other together with our families every summer in Spain. Carole was incredible and had amazing fortitude, keeping her diagnosis and journey fairly private so she didn’t become identified by the cancer, but could continue to live her life and be the best wife, mum… and friend to so many. I wanted to do this run in her memory… and to help raise more money for research so more people can beat the big C!

This time last year I couldn’t walk across the room without limping; I had a hip replacement last Christmas so this run is also a personal challenge to getting back to full fitness. I have done the winter run once before, around 6 years ago, and it was tough back then, so I know it’s bound to be cold and is certainly not going to be easy!

Thank you so much for your support and donations.

Love Cara xx

Please donate to my page to help me raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK and support me as I train for a 10k on 23rd February 2025.

Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime*. All of us can support the research that will beat it.

Thank you for supporting me! Together we are beating cancer.
