Cancer is relentess. But so are we.

Running and raising funds two months after giving birth!

Towards the end of February, two months after giving birth, I will be running a 10k in London in support of Cancer Research.

My father died from a rare form of cancer of the ureter on 28 August 2014, a day after my 28th birthday. It was so aggressive and healthcare professionals so confused about what he had (they thought it was DVT and then different types of cancer). My father couldn’t come to terms with it, the communication was poor and sadly he received no treatment other than pain relief due to the nature of the cancer. It spread and he ended up not even being able to lie down to be scanned because the pain in his back was too much. It was an incredibly upsetting and difficult experience for my mother, sister and I.

I’m running and pushing myself after having my third child because I want cancer research to progress and help to create solutions to prevent this disease. Cancer affects so many of us and will continue to if we don’t change the way we live, our systems (food, agricultural, water, waste…) and the research we undertake.

Please contribute if you can and I will report back on how my training and the event goes.

Many thanks!!!

I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2025.

Please donate to my page to help me raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK and support me as I train for a 10k on 23rd February 2025.

Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime*. All of us can support the research that will beat it.

Thank you for supporting me! Together we are beating cancer.
