Running for a Cause: My London Winter Run 2025

On Sunday, 23rd February 2025, I will be lacing up my running shoes to take part in the London Winter Run 10k, an event that holds a very special place in my heart. This race not only helps raise funds for Cancer Research UK, but it also provides a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the personal significance of this cause.

This year marks my second time running in this race, and it’s an honor to be a part of it as the London Winter Run celebrates its 10th anniversary. The energy of the race, the winter atmosphere, and the streets lined with cheering supporters make it an experience like no other. But this year, it carries an even deeper meaning for me.

The 5th anniversary of my father’s passing from cancer coincides with this event, and being able to raise money for a charity that fights cancer feels like a powerful way to remember and honor him. Losing a loved one to cancer is incredibly difficult, but participating in this race gives me the opportunity to turn that loss into something positive. Every step I take is for him and for everyone who has been touched by this disease.

Cancer Research UK continues to make tremendous strides in finding treatments and improving the lives of those affected by cancer, and I’m proud to support their mission through this race. Just entered the London Winter Run
