The last push
The donations are so impressive, the target of £890 to get to the next threshold which is equivalent of adding a mini centrifuge has been met. Hoping in the last days it can get over £1000!What could the money be used for?
Thank you so much for all the donations. Together the minimum target suggested has been smashed, by donating four times more.My scientific background means I know how important it is to have good equipment to do your work, so I'm glad there is a guide provided as to how the money could be used.
With £490 raised the money could be used to buy a Bunsen burner, a microscope lens AND a gel electrophoresis machine!
As the total so far is over £700 (or over £800 with gift aid), we're well on the way to also adding a mini centrifuge too!!

Why I'm running
I am taking part in the 10km London Winter Run for Cancer Research UK on 23rd Feb 2025.
I've completed a race in winter every year since 2008, but this year it has more meaning as I'm raising money for Cancer Research UK. I'm running for my Dad who has just started chemotherapy treatment.
There is the stat that nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime*, this certainly feels true given the amount it's affected my family and family of my friends.
