We are taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter 10km Run 2025.
Please donate to our page to help us raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK when we run on 23rd February 2025.
Our team is running in memory of family members who have succumbed to cancer, of which the most recent was Penny, and also for the many people who have had to face or are facing a cancer diagnosis.
Penny was a veteran of the London Winter 10km, having taken part a number of times and being the driving force in getting other friends and family involved. Penny was diagnosed with bowel cancer last year, having fallen ill on the night that she completed the Love Luton 10km. Penny approached her treatment with a steely positive determination and continued to live life to the full, but sadly died last summer.
Our team is comprised of Penny’s husband Anthony, children Beth and Max, brother in law Martyn, nephew Joseph and niece Amber.
Our goal is to raise some much needed funds for Cancer Research UK.

Thank you for raising money for Cancer. I am in Penny's book group and was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. We had a few chats when she was also diagnosed. We were going to go to the top of a hill and scream, but never made it. I now have stage 4 incurable breast cancer. I am praying for a cure for this dreadful disease for my children, grandchildren, husband, parents, friends and everyone affected, whether the patient or their loved ones. Penny would be so proud of you.
