Cancer is relentess. But so are we. 

So here we are

In 2023, I found a lump in my breast and so started a series of hospital appointments which resulted in a diagnosis of Breast Cancer. Thanks to the NHS, I received timely treatment including surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. However it is just not possible for the NHS to provide all the time and information that women like me are looking for when we find ourselves in this awful situation and this is where charities like Cancer Research come in.

Previous research has enabled the NHS to provide the appropriate chemotherapy and regime of radiotherapy for my specific type of tumour. The oral chemo that I will be taking over the next two years has only been available relatively recently and I am grateful to the women who took part in the trials to establish this as a drug of choice to prevent recurrence in women like me.

This is part of a fundraising commitment that I have made to " give back" a little to the various charities which have supported me throughout this brutal time and I thank you all for your support.
