Winter Run 2025

My Activity Tracking

My target 1000 kms

Cancer is relentess. But so are we.

New York City marathon

The marathon journey continues. I completed the Médoc marathon (drinking wine along the way) in September. Then in November, it was off to New York City for the marathon there. At 5 hours 10 minutes, still not under my target of less than five hours, but a slight improvement on my Tokyo time. Two world majors now under my belt. Four more (or possibly seven) still to go!

Tokyo Marathon (3 March 2024)

I didn't make my target of under five hours, but I was still pleased with my time of 5:12:26. I came 31st out of 111 in the men's 75-79 age category. Next marathons coming up: Médoc Marathon in September and New York in November.

Smashed it in 2024

Had a great time participating in the London Winter Run 2024, and smashed my previous year's time by two minutes, clocking a time of 56:35. What more could I do than sign up for 2025?
Thanks to everyone who supported me and helped raised more than £1,000 for Cancer Research UK. Here's to another successful year.

I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2025 for Cancer Research UK.

Please donate to my page to help me raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK and support me as I train for a 10k on 23rd February 2025.

Nearly 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in their lifetime*. All of us can support the research that will beat it.

Thank you for supporting me! Together we are beating cancer.

Good luck with the run, and the preparation. Don't push your body beyond its limits, but I fear you do, all the time! So, maybe I should say I hope you beat your previous times. We hope to spend a week in London some time in the spring, so hope to catch you in the country at that time. XXX
