Cancer is relentess. But so are we.

For my mum

I'm thrilled—and a bit nervous—to share that I’m gearing up for something that’s totally outside my comfort zone: my first-ever sponsored 10K run. For those who know me well, you know running hasn’t exactly been my passion or even in my routine. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I really ran—it must have been nearly two decades ago. But this challenge is about so much more than the distance or the physical training. It’s deeply personal, and it’s for a cause that means the world to me.

I’m running in support of Cancer Research, an organisation that stands on the front lines in the battle against a disease that’s taken too much from too many of us. I’ve lost family members and friends I love dearly to cancer, and the grief and lessons from those losses have changed me in ways I can hardly describe. This isn’t just a 10K for me; it’s a journey to honor them, to remember their fight, and to hope for a future where no one has to endure this heartbreak.

Every step of this run will be dedicated to the memory of my mum who passed away 10 years ago in May. She bravely fought melanoma and breast cancer, showing strength and courage that I still carry with me. Running this 10K feels like a small way to keep her spirit alive and support Cancer Research’s vital work in finding a cure, so that others can have more precious moments with the people they love.

I’ll be running the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run on 23rd February 2025. If you feel moved to support this cause, please consider donating to my fundraising page. Your support will not only keep me going on those hard training days but, most importantly, help fund life-saving research. Together, we can help make a difference.

I am taking on the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 2025.

Please donate to my page to help me raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK and support me as I train for a 10k on 23rd February 2025.

Nearly 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime*. All of us can support the research that will beat it.

Thank you for supporting me! Together we are beating cancer.
